Error when trying to backup database
« on: May 11, 2016, 01:14:50 PM »
Note: This post only applies to the Legacy database!

I have been trying to backup my database but keep getting an error and the database will not backup at all. Here is what I get every time.
Starting backup of table License
Error during backup of database C:\Users\Vicky\Approved Workman\Data - DBISAM Engine Error # 9218 Error writing to the table or backup file 'G:\AW Backup v5415 5-11-2016.bkp'
Processing Ended: 5/11/2016 2:04:34 PM  Elapsed time: 0.2 minutes

Nothing has changed with the exception of the latest update.
What can I do to fix this?
Thank you.

This error is usually related to lack of available disk space.  Check the flash drive to be sure there is enough space for the backup file.  If you have a lot of AWdb backups on it, delete the old ones and just keep a couple of the most recent ones.

Let us know if that solves the problem.

I deleted many of the previous backups on my external drive but still received the same error message. There are probably too many other files that I cannot delete at this time. I had a flash drive and decided to give that a try and the database backed up normally. Thank you for the advise and quick response!
