Tracking specific shirt sizes used
« on: August 17, 2011, 03:37:24 PM »
Note: This post is applicable in the Cloud database's Windows App as well as in the Legacy database.

Is there a way to use last year's data to search for how many shirts of a particular size, such as youth large, were issued?  We are trying to project for the coming year as we order supplies.  It would be helpful to know how many of each size were issued.

One way is to filter/group the data in the Clubber Module's grid.  You can set the Current Club Year to last year, filter the Uniform>Has column to only show "Yes", then group by Club Name and Uniform Size.

Each size group will then have a subtotal of how many uniforms are in that group.

In case you are not familiar with how to filter and group grid date:
 - as you hover over the Uniform>Has column an arrow will appear.  Click on the arrow & select "Yes" from the dropdown.
 - if you don't see the Group By box above your grid, select "Show Group By Box" from the toolbar's grid menu (far right button, with picture of gear on a grid)
 - drag the Club Name column up to the Group By box
 - then drag the Uniform>Size column to the same area
 - If you don't see those columns in your Clubber grid, you can make them visible using the little buttons to the left of the column headers.

You can export or print the grid results, too.  If this doesn't suit your needs, I could probably come up with a SQL statement that would give you the results, too, but I'm hoping this will work for you!
