Who is running AW on a MAC? I need guidance...
« on: October 23, 2015, 06:53:33 AM »
Note: This post is applicable in the Legacy database as well as in the Cloud database's Windows App.

I just got a new MAC and would love to get my AW to run on it. I know it is possible but I am not sure how to get started. I am very good with Windows and have been running AW for about 7 years. Any guidance out there? Step by step instructions?

I noticed this post never had a response.  I hope you were able to find the information that you need to run AWdb on a Mac.  There is general information here: http://www.approvedworkman.com/forum/index.php?topic=1386.msg4974#msg4974.

If anyone actually running AWdb on a Mac has any helpful tips, please do share those.

I've successfully been able to run the latest software on a Macbook.  Follow instructions for installing Wine 2.0.  Once I installed and configured Wine I was then able to run Approved Workman natively.

The other three options is
1) Virtual machine (VMWare, Virtualbox, etc)
2) Parallels - http://www.parallels.com/
3) Bootcamp - https://support.apple.com/boot-camp

Thanks
